K8 & GINK
The sisters known as the Internet! 👯♀️
Oh no! Sadly, it was time to bid farewell to K8 and 🧬 and head back to the farm. 🐼 was awesome enough to give me a ride to the airport!
Flying has been a part of K8's and my life since forever. 🧬 showed me my first passport from 1996, complete with stamps from London Heathrow.
Whether it's a quick hop or a long haul, K8 and I have learned to combat anxieties in the air, both together and on our own. Thankfully, with phones and WiFi onboard, keeping ourselves calm has gotten a bit easier.
But let's be real—not every flight memory is all fun and games. I vividly remember one trip to Detroit with 🦷 when K8 and I were causing a bit of a ruckus on the plane. I had to speak up for myself when someone decided to stick their nose where it didn't belong, and let's just say, 🦷 was not impressed with me.
Then there was a time K8 sold a scarf she was knitting to a lady on the plane, handing it over by the time we got to baggage claim. She really is a loom.
But my all-time favorite flight? That would have to be the one where K8 and I flew out of Miami solo and ended up flying straight into a hurricane. Turbulence may not be everyone's idea of fun, but for us, it was an adventure!
And on this flight back to DTW, guess what? I scored a whole row to myself! Cued up my airplane playlist and some serious seat dancing—talk about the ideal ride!
SMALL WINS
Let’s dive into the *~magic~*! ✨
In a world that's all about the big moments, it's time to give props to the small wins—like finally nailing that thing you put off & it only taking 5 minutes, catching a breather mid-chaos or hustling through a workout when you'd rather binge, Girls5eva. They might not make an impact, but these wins? They're the rizz to leveling up. So, let’s celebrate our accomplishments and manifest for the week ahead.
Maggie made an awesome feta dip
Sean’s dog Farley made the finals of “dogma madness” - a bracket tournament run by his doggy daycare
Sierra indulged in some self-care with an at-home manicure and nail art
Rileigh got her k8knitz spring bucket hat
Gink new job starts Monday with a trip to HQ—all expenses paid, including overnight stays
K8 started reading Okay, Cupid

WOO, SPORTS!
All The Madness Edition 🏆
My [K8] emotional bond with my brackets runs deep, and let me tell you, they've been absolutely demolished. The March Madness rollercoaster leaves me feeling both pumped and a tad rattled. But hey, that's the thrill of the game, isn't it? It's all about regrouping, recalibrating, and celebrating the small wins!

This is a prime example of how NIL deals should operate. During the game against Kentucky, everyone was comparing Jack Gohlke to their accountant.
He also dropped a bunch of gems during the post game press interview.
A couple sound bites that stood out to me from @jgohlke34 after Oakland beat Kentucky last night…
1. He puts his phone away 2 hours before the game and doesn’t check it for a while after the game either. This should be a non-negotiable for ALL athletes and something they all… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…

In one of our previous issues, Generational Gems, we discussed the importance of grandparents! Noah Freidel (James Madison) & Jermaine Couisnard (Oregon) get it.
This is why March is the best: James Madison’s Noah Freidel details his 82-year-old grandma, Peggy, flying from Sioux Falls, South Dakota to New York to be here for tonight’s game. He wasn’t losing this game with Grandma Peggy in the house.

Dana Altman on Jermaine Couisnard's grandma:
"I met her last night and I told her, 'Where the heck have you been?' She doesn't like to fly. If I would've known that, we would've had a bus pick her up in Chicago and drive her all the way out to Eugene... If I would've known that… twitter.com/i/web/status/1…

Yale’s band was once again too busy on Spring Break, so the University of Idaho Pep band filled in & there was a lil X username confusion.
Yale Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry beats @AuburnMBB 78-76, talk about March madness!
