Happy June

K8's birthday szn

LAVA BRO isn't just an emotional support company; we're your hype squad, vibing like a winning sports team or backing each other up like siblings. In this weekly newsletter, together, we celebrate small wins . We blend the excitement of sports highlights with strategies to tackle those existential crises that pop up in our everyday lives. Share with your family & friends.

K8 & GINK

The sisters known as the Internet! 👯‍♀️

Today, we’re shouting out our basically adopted sisters, Maggie & B. A few weeks ago, we introduced you to our crew of coworkers turned lifelong friends. Now, it's time to celebrate two women we met when we were young who became our ultimate stress-relief squad and the ones who get our family dynamics like no one else. They grew up with us, so they know all the ins and outs. Having them in our lives has been a major wellness boost, grounding us and providing that sisterly support everyone needs.

Maggie is coming to visit! We’re gonna have a girls day and sleepover packed with fun!

Maggie and I have been friends since the 3rd grade. She was one of the very few people who stuck around while I struggled to learn how to read and get through day-to-day life as a young Gink.

Maggie and I learned a lot together as we grew up. We were Girl Scouts together. I was Maggie’s date to Candy Cane sophomore year of high school. We always had fun at the Rocky Horror Picture Show! I’m pretty sure Maggie has been involved in way too many good and bad Gink situations!

In the summer of 2011, Maggie and I sombrero partied through hurricanes and tornado warnings. Nothing was stopping our Jersey Girl Summer!

Maggie and I have been through a lot together, and I am more than lucky to have her in my life.

For a few years, Maggie and I became distant friends but always knew we were just a message or call away. I was overly pleased when she answered my call to be a bridesmaid at my wedding!

Now, I ask her what she is buying at the grocery store when I track her on Find My Friends. And hopefully soon, she’ll be moving here. Every week Maggie sends her small win to Lava Bro, always adding a countdown until we reunite!

Hello, is Shaniqua there?… 27 Days until we are together!

The Best Candy Cane Date!

B has been our next-door neighbor since birth. I always joke about B having 24 days more experience with every age (B was born on June 2; HAPPY BIRTHDAY & K8 on June 26). We had a few joint parties as toddlers, ran in different crowds during middle school and high school, and became closer as adults. We may not be next-door neighbors anymore, but she still lives just down the street. We get together to watch sports, scream random songs at the bar, take shots of Jameson, or just chill at my place, order food, and watch TV. It’s always a low-key, feel-good time.

Our 4th Birthday Party! Hi Babar! Hi Aunt Jenny!

We love you Maggie & B!

There’s nothing like long-term friendships evolving into family to keep our mental health in check and our hearts full.

SMALL WINS

Let’s dive into the *~magic~*!

In a world that's all about the big moments, it's time to give props to the small wins—like finally nailing that thing you put off & it only taking 5 minutes, catching a breather mid-chaos or hustling through a workout when you'd rather binge, Maxton Hall. They might not make an impact, but these wins? They're the rizz to leveling up. So, let’s celebrate our accomplishments and manifest for the week ahead.

  • Rileigh raved with Fred Again and Skrillex

  • Sean officiated his friend’s wedding

  • Eve invested in a sound bowl session that was super healing

  • Joon is in Malaysia visiting our B/R friend, Khaleelah

  • Maggie saw a real dolphin and a statue of a famous dolphin

  • Gink T5 came over!

  • K8 Hallmark launched Fa La La Fridays; an all day marathon of Christmas movies

WOO, SPORTS!

The Detroit, Mavs, Real Madrid Edition 🏆

The Detroit Grand Prix is this weekend!! The Detroit Grand Prix, electrifying the streets of Detroit, Michigan, is a high-octane celebration of American motorsport that pulses with energy and excitement. Unlike Formula 1, which dazzles with international circuits and high-tech engineering, the Detroit Grand Prix captures the raw, unfiltered spirit of American racing. It’s all about the thrill of street racing, the roar of engines echoing through the city, and the crowd’s infectious enthusiasm. This event shines a spotlight on American drivers and teams, all while paying homage to Detroit’s storied automotive heritage. While Formula 1 offers global glamour, the Detroit Grand Prix delivers a heart-pounding experience, embodying the blue-collar grit and relentless passion for speed that defines American racing culture. There are three series that make up the Grand Prix: IMSA (our fav; corvette racing), NTT IndyCar, and INDY NXT.

"We wanted to do a Detroit car, we wanted to give it back to the Detroit community and highlight some of the iconic businesses [Detroit Lions, National Coney Island and Faygo] in the area and do it on the main stage, which is the Grand Prix, this incredible event that the city is putting on and has brought back downtown."
