August has a way of creeping up on you, doesn’t it? It’s that strange, in-between month where the summer sun starts to fade, we’ve had lots of rain and clouds, and the weight of the year settles in. That’s why we let our newsletter slide last week—caught in the existential dread. August, after all, is one of those months where you can feel the struggle of transition.

I just got back from NJ on Monday, where the week was filled with endless cuddles from 🧬 & K8 and co-working sessions.

A sister day is always required when I come visit K8 and 🧬. This time I forced K8 to use a gift card she has been harboring for almost 1.5 years. A gift card to Haven Spa in Soho! (Who waits that long to go to a spa?!)

So I called them and made us appointments for a body scrub treatment and facials! It was so relaxing.

I kept wanting to fall asleep during the body scrub but there was a lot of up, down, and roll over action going on! Spent the whole time trying not to slip off the table.

It was so nice. I'm really hoping I can get K8 to do more self-care days in the future! I’m always reminding her that it’s important to prioritize yourself sometimes, and we definitely needed it.

Now we are entering the ‘ber months, our favorite months! Spooky season, Sweater weather, Leaf peeping, Turkey is coming, and all of Christmas lights!! 👻💙🍁🎄
