Friends really do make everything better!
As you probably know, I really love Uglydolls. I’ve been collecting them since 2004. K8 actually bought me my first one, and that’s what started it all. The creators just brought them back with a few little updates, and I’ve been trying to find Xander a new-style Babo for months. No luck when we were in LA. So I asked Rileigh to check a store in San Francisco, and she found one!
She even hung out with him for a few days before mailing him out. When the package shipped, I started tracking his trip like a tiny adventure — he packed his cookie snacks, stopped in Sacramento to look for bears, passed through Indianapolis to spot the Oscar Mayer hot dog cars, and made a stop in Detroit to check out Ford Field before landing at the Swartz Creek post office and finally here, on the farm.
Now he’s home!!! I can’t wait to see what kind of adventures Xander, Bartholomew, and Babo get into.

Mercury is retrograde for the next 3 weeks, asking us to slow down and check in with ourselves. This little journey with Babo was the perfect reminder to appreciate the friends who care and lean into our obsession with stuffed animals for a few extra hugs. Today is 11/11 ✨ make a wish.
