K8 & GINK

This week, we're doing something a little different since we're SO BUSY! We're going to talk about the last two weeks. As I explained two weeks ago, we’re in holiday mode.

I arrived in NJ last Tuesday, and it’s been packed with lots of festive fun!

Last Wednesday, K8 and I went into the city to enjoy dinner with Kyle and her sister, Jenna. We love a sibling link-up almost as much as we love dinners with our friends’ parents! Kyle’s mom sent K8 a really nice message wishing us a Merry Christmas.

Last Thursday, we hung out with 🧬, ate at Rutts Hut, co-worked and cuddled.

Last Friday, K8 and I had our sister day, and while it didn’t turn out quite like we wanted, we had fun anyway. Pete’s Tavern (K8’s favorite place) was so packed we could only take a selfie.

Then we went to St. Patrick’s Cathedral to light candles for 🦷, Grandpa, and King Bob’s dad. Then we met up with Kate for drinks at the Palace, which was so on-brand since K8 and I have been rewatching the OG Gossip Girl.

After the bar, we continued a 🦷-loved tradition by seeing the Rockettes and visiting the tree. It was really nice!

K8 and I had a true internet-vs-reality moment when we went to FAO Schwarz to check out the JellyCat Diner, only to find out you need a reservation to get in. Unfortunately, the employees running the JellyCat Diner experience were really half-assing it. The enthusiasm was very low. Oh well! The Rockettes and the tree stole the evening, as they should. I even got a long-sleeve shirt from the Rockettes!

Last Saturday, K8 and I had brunch with 🧬’s sister’s family, minus a few members. Later, one of our cousins slept over at Benson. B took us to a Christmas pop-up bar at The Parkside Social in Verona. On the way, she drove us down a street lined with 20-ft blow-up snowmen in front of the houses—it was so exciting! The Christmas bar served cool drinks in festive glasses, which added to the fun.

Last Tuesday, we had dinner with 🧬 at Matthews.

It’s always sad to leave 🧬, but I’ll be back soon!

Now, K8 & I are at The Farm and in our final days of super co-working mode for the year! We’re also squeezing in lots of festive fun.

We visited Crossroads Village for the holiday train and village. Maggie and T5 joined us, and it started snowing as soon as we got out of the car! The lights were awesome, and King Bob and I got our annual Christmas picture. We went to Maggie & T5’s for cookies, cocktails and a Christmas movie. Lots more to happen this week!

Advent has been going great! Thank you to everyone who has participated—I love you all! Merry Christmas! 🎅🎄✨
