While many of you are watching the five rings of the Olympics, I’m out here celebrating my own ring!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, #GINKBOB!

And HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HARRY! (July 31)

My wedding was a bigger blowout than any summer sale Oaken (from Frozen) could have had in 2022!

K8’s house was the perfect place for my and King Bob’s wedding. We were lucky and blessed that the venue was available and could accommodate over 80 people, two tents, a dance floor, and everything else our family and friends needed!

“Well, the party don’t start till I walk in.”

When I stepped out the front door to go to K8’s backyard to start my ceremony, I had to stop in my tracks and hide behind the rented bathrooms. (They were really nice; people took profile pics in them.)

King Bob was standing in the middle of the aisle waiting for me instead of where he should have been. So, he heard me yell, “DUDE, GET IN YOUR SPOT!” from behind the bathroom, and he moved! Hehe! But the fun didn’t stop there.

K8 officiated! 🧬 gave an epic speech, and our dance was so special. Our wedding photos are one of a kind. We took pictures with the old Benson St. station sign, the train tracks, and the surrounding greenery, which is now a paved walking path.

The food at the wedding was incredible. Shoutout to Matthew’s and Gencarelli’s bakery.

🧬 always says, “It’s not a good party unless there are little hot dogs!”

To top off this grand day, the police came to ensure we followed the noise ordinance, which was at 10 p.m. And we had every intention to.

I always say, “It’s not a good house party until the cops show up!”

As King Bob and I celebrate our two years of marriage, I’ll be on a working vacation. As you learned last week, I have limited PTO days, but working from my tent via car Wi-Fi is definitely making it less of a bummer summer!

WOO, SPORTS!

^{The Olympics Edition 🏆}

The Olympics are in full swing, and we’re having a blast watching all the unique and exciting sports! From breakdancing to badminton, synchronized swimming to trampoline gymnastics, there’s no shortage of entertainment. It’s amazing to see such a variety of athletic talent on display. Adding to the excitement, we’re cheering extra hard for the 23 athletes from New Jersey and the 17 from Michigan. Their incredible performances are making us proud, and it’s fantastic to see our home states so well represented on the world stage.

Congratulations to Simone Biles, who made history at the 2024 Olympics despite battling a calf injury.

She’s also aiming to have a sixth move named after her at these Games, this time on the uneven bars, which would mean she has signature skills in every event.

Sarah Bacon and Kassidy Cook won the first medals for the USA and have been besties since they were eight years old.

Great Britain's swimmer Tom Daley is back and still knitting sweaters—one of my favorite parts of the Olympics.
